A-Panel

To obtain the Associateship distinction of the Irish Photographic Federation, I put together a panel of dragonfly photos over a period of 2 summers. These were taken at small lake (Ballinafagh), just outside Prosperous, Co. Kildare, which is not too far from where I live.

The photos were taken using a macro lens (mostly I used the Canon 180mm f3.5, usually with a 1.4 times extender) with the camera mounted on a tripod. If necessary, I used a reflector to make sure that there was light on the wings.

I used the camera’s live view feature, focussed manually, and used a cable release to avoid camera shake as much as possible.
